Praise!

Praise Yahweh!

Praise God in his sanctuary!

Praise him in his heavens for his acts of power!

Praise him for his mighty acts!

Praise him according to his excellent greatness!

Praise him with the sounding of the trumpet!

Praise him with harp and lyre!

Praise him with tambourine and dancing!

Praise him with stringed instruments and flute!

Praise him with loud cymbals! Praise him with resounding cymbals!

Let everything that has breath praise Yahweh!

Praise Yahweh!                               Psalm 150 (WEB)

Everyday is an adventure! It would be difficult to listen to an ad on TV or radio and not get the message that my life can be an adventure if I buy this car or drink this cola or sign up with this particular cell phone company!

My life has certainly been an adventure since 1995 when I made my commitment to Jesus. Oh, it was adventurous before that but it was difficult to enjoy any of the ride when I was worried about what was coming around the bend and how I was going to navigate through the rocky roads! Now, I know Who stands with me and around me.
It may seem simplistic but when hard questions and pressures of this world begin to crowd in – it is time to worry and give in to the feeling of ‘overwhelm’. It is time to go to God’s Word and focus in on God’s promises and His truths. Jesus spoke the truth when He said that worry would not add an hour to my life (Matthew 6:27). It, in fact, may shorten my life. It is worry that will bring ulcers, high blood pressure, and headaches. It casts a cloud over my life, deceiving me into thinking that the Light has left me. No, if there is any distance between Jesus and me – I am the one who has moved!
As we go to worship together this weekend, let us spend time thanking God for all He has given! Big or small – God is worthy of my praise and thanksgiving!
